Tennessee F J.P. Estrella (foot) out for season

Tennessee sophomore forward J.P. Estrella announced Monday he will have season-ending foot surgery.He missed the past three games with an injured left foot and could pursue a medical redshirt.The 6-foot-11 Estrella averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 10.3 minutes in the first three games of the season.”This has been a lingering injury and it is important to get it addressed,” Estrella posted on social media. “While I’m saddened that I won’t be able to compete the remainder of the season, I remain so excited to be a part of this program and will do everything I can to support my brothers as we continue to work towards our goals.”The Volunteers (6-0) defeated Baylor 77-62 on Friday to win the Baha Mar Championship in Nassau, Bahamas.
