Screaming Trees Vocalist Mark Lanegan Dead at 57

Mark Lanegan, best known as the vocalist for Screaming Trees, has passed away. He was 57-years old.

Lanegan’s death was announced via his official Twitter account:

Our beloved friend Mark Lanegan passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland. A beloved singer, songwriter, author and musician he was 57 and is survived by his wife Shelley. No other information is available at this time. We ask Please respect the family privacy

Besides being a founding member of Screaming Trees, Lanegan also spent time with Queens of the Stone Age and released twelve solo albums over the course of his career.
