Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has been forced to cancel an appearance at this weekend’s Astronomicon in Ann Arbor after testing positive for COVID-19.
Taylor made the announcement on social media and you can tell that the singer is miserable:
Maintaining everyone’s health and safety is paramount in these times. COVID is no joke and can effect anyone, even those who have been vaccinated. Sadly, this includes celebrities. pic.twitter.com/6V6LMVeOc1

Those who had purchased photo ops and meet-n-greets with Taylor at Astronomicon will receive refunds.
The singer joins a list of bands and artists forced to cancel or postpone shows and appearances recently, due to a COVID-19 diagnosis. The list includes Korn, Pop Evil, and Kings of Leon, among others.
We’re sending our best to Corey and wishing him a speedy recovery.
