Mike Richards Won’t Be the New Host of ‘Jeopardy!’ After All

After weeks of auditions for guest hosts, Jeopardy! thought they had their new, permanent host. It turns out, they don’t.

Executive producer Mike Richards has already stepped down as the host of Adam’s favorite nighttime game show, according to CNN.

So, what led to Richards’ departure before he even hosted an episode after being announced as the host? Well, besides some things that happened while Richards was producer of another game show, he also said some derogatory things towards women and little people on a podcast a few years ago that someone dredged up.

Richards wasn’t exactly a popular choice among fans anyway, so it isn’t much of a surprise he won’t be the host after all. Once those podcasts comments were brought to light, I think it was only a matter of time.

Now, Jeopardy! finds itself searching for a new, permanent host…again. We already know Mayim Bialik will host special events, but her schedule won’t allow her to host the daily show. So, expect more guest hosts for the time being.

Is there a way to do a hologram Alex Trebek? Has anyone thought of that?
