I think we can all agree that the original Suicide Squad movie was a little underwhelming, but this new James Gunn-directed sequel looks anything but!

During this weekend’s DC Fandome event, fans had the opportunity to get their first look at Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and it looks very, very promising. You can see the sneak peek below:

The film sees the return of Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), and Jai Courtney (Boomerang), alongside new Suicide Squad members like John Cena (Peacemaker), Pete Davidson (Blackguard), and Idris Elba (Bloodsport), among others.

The Suicide Squad is set to arrive in theaters next year (hopefully).
