According to the Detroit Free Press, the Big Ten has voted to cancel the 2020 football season, which means no Michigan or Michigan State football this fall.

Sources spoke to The Detroit Free Press on the condition of anonymity and stated that the universities that make up the Big Ten Conference voted 12-2 to cancel the upcoming season.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh released the following statement regarding the cancellation of the season:

The Big Ten’s decision to cancel their season comes on the heels of the MAC announcing the cancellation of all fall sports over the weekend, which means no Central Michigan football either.

No official announcement has been made regarding the Big Ten, though many suspect it will come in the next day or two.
