Michigan State University has announced that every player on their football team has been placed in a 14-day quarantine or self-isolation.
According to ESPN, two staff members and a player have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past few days. Based on the school’s ‘return-to-campus’ policy, players must now self-isolate due to their contact with the infected staff members and player.
Earlier this summer, the Big Ten Conference announced that they would play a conference-only schedule, as a way to try and keep the spread of the virus among its student-athletes to a minimum.
One would suspect that the Spartans won’t be the last team to have to deal with something like this.
