During her press conference this afternoon, Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that Michigan bars, restaurants, and retailers can reopen beginning next week.
According to ABC12 and the Associated Press, Whitmer will move the remaining six regions in the state of Michigan, including the Saginaw Region, into Phase 4, which is the ‘Improving’ phase.
Some of the expected precautions include bars and restaurants operating at only 50% capacity and requiring personal protection equipment for all employees.
Other businesses that offer more ‘close contact’ services like salons and barbershops will remain closed for the time being.
