The Michigan State Spartans will introduce Mel Tucker as their new head football coach, replacing Mark Dantonio, who announced his resignation last week.
Tucker comes to East Lansing from Colorado, where he was the head coach of the Buffaloes for one season. Before that, Tucker was a coordinator at both Georgia and Ohio State, according to ESPN.
This is a bit of a homecoming for Tucker, who began his coaching career in East Lansing as a graduate assistant under Nick Saban. He played his college ball in the Big Ten at Wisconsin.
The Spartans are expected to introduce Tucker as a press conference later today (2/12).
