Now former Port Authority commissioner Karen Turner is making headlines after she berated police officers following a traffic stop recently in Tenafly, New Jersey.
Turner’s daughter was a passenger in the vehicle, which was pulled over for tinted windows and an expired registration. Because the vehicle was going to be towed, Turner’s daughter called her mother and asked her to come and pick them up.
When Turner arrived, she made it a point to inform the police officers who she was and that she was a friend of the mayor, because that’s something that matters to police officers, I guess.
Turner continued to berate the officers for a few minutes before telling that they ‘may shut the f*ck up.’
Turner has since resigned her position as Port Authority commissioner, because, well, this video exists.
