Ghost have finally unveiled their new leader: Cardinal Copia.
Following in the footsteps of Papa Emeritus, Cardinal Copia will take Ghost through their next album cycle, which begins with a headlining tour in the coming days.
The band changed their profile picture on Facebook to one of Cardinal Copia, which you can see below:
Ghost first eluded to their new leader at a show in Sweden. As Papa Emeritus was whisked off stage, an older Papa came on stage, complete with an oxygen mask. This was seen as a changing of the guard of sorts, making way for Ghost’s new leader to make his appearance.
Ghost will bring their headlining tour to The Fillmore in Detroit on Saturday, May 12th. Tickets are on sale now.
