Jeopardy! Contestant Loses More Than $3,000 After Mispronouncing ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ [VIDEO]

I bet this Jeopardy! contestant never suspected that the title of a Coolio song would cost him more than $3,000, but it did.

On the first Jeopardy! episode of 2018, contestants were given the following clue:

A song by Coolio from Dangerous Minds goes back in time to become a 1667 John Milton classic

Contestant Nick Spicher chimed in and confidently answered ‘Gangster’s Paradise Lost,’ which would have been correct, except the title of the Coolio song is actually ‘Gangsta’s Paradise.’

After giving Spicher the money for a correct answer, the Jeopardy! judges realized that he mispronounced the song’s titled and took the money away.

Thankfully, Spicher was still able to go home a Jeopardy! champion. Because, how embarrassing would it be to lose due to a mispronounced Coolio song title?
