Charles Manson, leader of the infamous ‘Manson Family,’ has passed away. He was 83.
According to Rolling Stone, Manson was rushed to a California hospital earlier this month for undisclosed medical reasons. He died of natural causes.
Manson gained notoriety in the late 1960’s as the leader of a murderous cult referred to as ‘The Manson Family.’ In 1969, Manson ordered members of ‘The Family’ to go to a house in Los Angeles and murder everyone inside it, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate. The following night, Manson and his followers murdered two more people.
Manson was found guilty of murder and received a death sentence, though that sentence was never carried out. Manson lived out his final years in prison.
