Back in May, we lost Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell. On July 20th, we lost Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington. The two will, unfortunately, forever be linked by their deaths, but we must also remember that the two were dear, dear friends.
As many of you may already know, Cornell and Bennington were very close friends. So close, in fact, that Bennington was actually the godfather of one of Cornell’s children.
The two had actually shared the stage a handful of times over the years, including in the performance above, which took place during the 2008 Projekt Revolution Tour that Linkin Park headlined.
Cornell also once joined Linkin Park on stage for a performance of ‘Crawling,’ which you can see below:
Two greats, gone far too soon. May you both Rest In Peace.
