With gender reveals all the rage, couples are trying to come up with new, fun ways to tell their friends and family whether they’re having a boy or a girl.

The couple in the video above decided to go with a baseball-themed gender reveal. Unfortunately, though, it didn’t go as planned.

As the soon-to-be mother pitches the gender reveal ball to the soon-to-be father, he swings for the fences. The ball is supposed to explode. Except, it doesn’t.

Instead, it pummels the poor mother-to-be right in the face.

The kid isn’t even born yet and he/she is already a viral video star!
