Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has passed away. He was just 50 years old.
The band announced the news on social media Friday evening (3/25):
Hawkins joined Foo Fighters in 1997 following the release of The Colour and the Shape. He performed on eight of the Foo Fighters’ ten studio albums.
Hawkins was also a member of the bands Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders and Chevy Metal.
No cause of death has been announced. Our thoughts are with Taylor’s family, friends, fans, and bandmates at this time.
