The next time you’re at your parents’ house, find the box of old video games and go through it, because you could strike gold!

According to AVClub.com, somebody just dropped $1.56 million on a sealed copy of Super Mario 64, which makes it the most expensive video game ever sold at auction.

Just days before, somebody spent $870,000 on a sealed copy of Legend of Zelda, which set a record and made it the most expensive video game ever sold.

So, if you grew up playing video games and maybe, just maybe, have a sealed copy of something somewhere, it could be worth a fortune. Keep in mind, though, that most of us probably opened up the games immediately and played them. So, there’s a good chance you’re not going to make anything off of your old games, but it’s still worth a quick search through the box of video games.
