After the CDC announced updated mask guidelines on Thursday, May 13th, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has decided to bring an end to Michigan’s mask mandate.

According to our news partners at ABC12, fully vaccinated Michiganders can stop wearing their masks right away (well, Saturday morning at 9 a.m.), while those who are not vaccinated will be asked to continue wearing them through the end of June.

Keep in mind, though, there’s no real way to tell whether someone wearing a mask is vaccinated or not, so this will all be based on an honor system of sorts.

Of course, if you feel more comfortable wearing your mask in public places, you can continue to do that.
