Police office Deidre Mengedoht was killed in the line of duty recently, which is absolutely awful.
What’s even more awful is this TV anchor’s pronunciation of her name: DeeDee MegaDooDoo.
One can only assume that either Mengedoht’s name was misspelled on the teleprompter or the person operating the teleprompter thought they’d have a little fun with the anchor at the worst possible time.
Clark did apologize for the mispronunciation in a later newscast.
