Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant was recently asked in an interview if there were any up-and-coming bands that he really, really liked. His response, of course, was Greta Van Fleet.
Plant recently appeared on Australia’s Network Ten, where he discussed Greta Van Fleet, describing lead singer Josh Kiszka as a ‘beautiful little singer’ and the band as ‘Led Zeppelin I.’
When the interviewer mentions Kiszka’s ‘huge voice,’ Plant suggests that he ‘borrowed it from someone he knows really well,’ which is obviously a reference to himself. You can see the interview below:
The comparisons to Led Zeppelin have been following Greta Van Fleet since they burst onto the national rock scene in 2017. Unless the band’s sound changes drastically, expect those comparisons to continue.
Greta Van Fleet is currently in Europe for a quick headlining run. They’ll return to the United States for festival appearances and a slew of sold out headlining shows.
