A man fell from the top of a 23-foot pole during a festival in Russia recently and, miraculously, he survived.

According to the video’s description on YouTube, the man was attending a festival in Russia where attendees celebrate the end of winter.

Part of that festival involves people climbing a pole to touch a large red box, which is supposed to represent the sun.

After the man touched the red box, he starts heading back down the pole. Unfortunately, the man doesn’t make it very far before he loses his grip and quickly falls back to Earth.

Though it was quite the fall, the man only suffered fractured ribs and a fractured scapula. Obviously, it could have been much worse.
