Now that NFL players can involve their teammates in touchdown celebrations, we’ve seen games of duck-duck-goose, sack races, and, and, thanks to the Detroit Lions, a real-life version of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots.
Late in the first quarter of the Lions victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football, quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr.
To celebrate the score, Jones squared up with tight end Eric Ebron and pretended to be Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. The two players controlling the ‘robots’ were wide receiver Golden Tate III and running back Ameer Abdullah.
The Lions would celebrate a few more times during the game, winning on the road 30-17 at Lambeau Field.
