If possible put items in Ziploc baggies, especially if a food item will not be consumed at one time.  That way it is easier to store and keep sand out.

Do not send pork, or pork products, alcohol or pornography to the Middle East

  • Do not send pressurized items, they may explode
    • Do not send products in glass containers
      • Do not send chocolate in the summer
        • Repackage anything that may leak, or may be leftover in ziploc baggies
          • Please no books or magazines, they cost too much to ship
            • Also, no travel size toiletries
              • Add tape to bottle tops to better secure them

What’s cool is that these items can be sent to specific MID-MICHIGAN SOLDIERS who are currently deployed in a combat zone.  You can either donate items or submit a Mid-Michigan soldier who you want to receive a care package.
